Emotive Bridal Boudoir Session in Italy

"Our greatest strength lies in the gentleness and tenderness of our heart." ~ Rumi

Bridal boudoir is an absolute favorite of mine to photograph. The delicate fabrics, emotional nature, and endless possibilities feels refreshing and inspiring. Last summer I travelled to Italy and teamed up with an incredible group of artists from all around the globe for this emotive and lovely boudoir session. Planner and stylist Simone Gebsattel, a very talented wedding planner from the south of Germany, dreamed up this wildly gorgeous boudoir session, reminiscent of royal Italian history. One of the most stately and awe-inspiring places to photograph weddings (or really anything!) has to be the amazing Villa Ca’Vendri and the decor and theme there truly felt like the most perfect place for our shoot. The touches of gold, natural wood, and ancient walls and towering buildings was magic…

This bride was glamorous yet not over done… absolute perfection from hair and makeup artist Alina. Bridal boudoir looks the most natural and artistic when one allows the natural setting and beauty of the bride take over; talented Alina did just that! One of the most crucial details came from bridalwear designer Laruder Couture with this amazing handmade lace robe. While the aesthetics are of the utmost importance (and how beautiful are her designs? We fell in love…), the feel of the robe on the bride’s skin was also soft and comforting which is a must for every bride.

We had an incredible time at Villa Ca’Vendri and hope to photograph more bridal boudoir sessions here or anywhere else…
