A Relaxed Couple's Boudoir Session in California

Recently I caught up with beautiful Cameo and handsome Josef in Cambria to snap a few photographs of their lives. Cambria, California holds a dear place in their hearts as they lived here as newlyweds and served as the beginning of their new life together as man and wife. I was so excited when planning our shoots together (including their sweet little one, more to come on that...) when they mentioned a casual, relaxed boudoir session 'at home'.

Boudoir is often thought of as a way for just the bride to feel the radiance of her beauty and confidence and encapsulate that feeling in the moment. I absolutely love couple's boudoir, however, because it can be hard to remember those quiet days as newlyweds in the beginning. That freshly married feeling and a sense of coziness is exactly what we achieved that morning. Chatting over a cup of coffee and indulging in some breakfast, these two got cozy and snuggled up to each other in the sweetest way. I loved the 'in between' moments that happened organically while I was guiding them to a new pose.
