Paris is known as the City of Love. I have had the pleasure of capturing the beauty and romance of this magical city on multiple occasions, and I get so excited each and every time! The architecture, the fashion, the style…who wouldn’t want to spend a day exploring Parisian cafés with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop? 

Last summer, I met with Ava Belle and Andy Siligardi for a romantic portrait session. Ava is an incredibly talented hair and makeup artist based in Byron Bay, Australia, who works with brides on everything from intimate elopements to multi-day wedding events. Andy is an Italian wedding photographer who developed his photography skills by discovering the history and beauty of Paris. As industry professionals themselves, they knew the most scenic locations, looks, and hidden gems to make this day an absolute joy! From the Eiffel Tower to the cobblestone streets, we explored some of the city’s most romantic locations, allowing time to stop at Cafe Florio for some delicious coffee and croissants. 

Ava was the epitome of Paris chic, wearing three different outfits during our shoot. From a floral dress to a statement skirt, black heels to black shades, she was a vision to capture. Andy opted for both a classic and casual look, wearing two blazers and his hair pulled back. Together the photos created were artistic, timeless, and authentic. The mix of neutrals and a pops of color palette, paired with the old work beauty of Paris, offered the perfect backdrop in every frame. The intimate moments, the subtle looks, the hand-holding and twirling…I can attest to the magic of the French capital and the way it exudes the essence of love.
